Eastern Railway Sports Quota Vacancies 2022: Age Limit
18 years of age is the minimum requirement, and 25 years is the maximum. Age will be reckoned as of 01/01/2023. No age relaxation will be permitted (upper or lower).
Eastern Railway Sports Quota vacancies 2022: Education Qualification
Level – 4 & Level – 5: The candidate must have completed a graduation degree or its equivalent from a university recognized by the government in any discipline.
Level – 2 & Level – 3: Passed 12th grade (+2 stages) or its equivalent from a Govt recognized Board/Council/Institutions etc.
Medical Standard:
Candidates must be declared fit by the Railway Medical Authority in accordance with the applicable medical standard.
Minimum Sports Qualification:
For Category 1: Represented the country at the Olympics (Senior Category) or won at least 3rd place at the World Cups (Junior/Youth/Senior Category) or World Championships (Junior/Senior Category) or Asian Games (Senior Category) or Commonwealth Games (Senior Category) or Youth Olympics (for Hockey).
For Category 2: Played for the Country in World Cup (Junior/Youth/Senior Category) or World Championships (Junior/Senior Category) or Asian Games(Senior Category) or Commonwealth Games (Senior Category) or Youth Olympics or Champions Trophy (for Hockey) or secured at least 3rd position in Commonwealth Championships (Junior/Senior Category) or Asian Championships/Asia Cup (Junior/Senior Category) or South Asian Federations (SAF) Games (Senior Category) or USIC(World Railway) Championships (Senior Category) or World University Games or secured at least 3rd position in Senior/Youth/Junior National Championships or won at least 3rd position in National Games organized under the aegis of Indian Olympic Association or secured at least 3rd position in All India Inter University Championship organized under the aegis of Association of Indian Universities or won 1st position in Federation Cup Championships (Senior Category).
Eastern Railway Sports Quota Vacancies: Examination Fees
- General & OBC Candidates: Rs 500 (Rupees five hundred only) with a refund provision of Rs 400 (Rupees four hundred) for those who actually attend the trial.
- SC, ST, Women, Minorities and EBC: Rs 250 (Rupees two hundred fifty only) with a refund provision of the same for those who actually attend the trial.

Eastern Railway Sports Quota Vacancies 2022: Selection Process
- Candidates will be selected through trials & assessments based on their recognized sports achievements as well as their educational qualifications. Only candidates found to be FIT will be considered for the next phase.
- Candidates can download the e-call letter for the recruitment process from RRC/ER’s website 20 days before the Trial date. There will be no postal delivery of the call letter.
- Selection will be based on total marks obtained by the candidates. The distribution of marks is given below:

How To Apply For Eastern Railway Sports Quota Vacancies 2022:
- Eligible candidates can to go to the link provided for filling ONLINE application through the website of RRC/ER (www.rrcer.com) or to the website of Eastern Railway www.er.indianrailways.gov.in -> Railway Recruitment Cell and click on the link “Online/E-Application for Sports Quota /2022-23”
- Candidates must fill in the personal information like Name, Father’s name, Date of Birth, Community, E-mail address and Mobile number.
- Candidates are required to upload necessary documents such as Photo, Signature, LTI and other relevant documents
- Once the required details are submitted an E-mail/SMS will be received in the registered E-mail ID/Mobile number. The E-mail/SMS contains the registration number and password that will be needed for further processing of the application.
- Candidates are required to Login using the Registration number & password sent in the E-mail/SMS and follow the further instructions to complete the registration.
