Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has recently announced that they will be conducting the Group D Computer Based Examination (CBT) examination from December 15, 2020, onwards tentatively. RRB will be conducting the exam on behalf of the Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC). Exam pattern for RRB Group D:
The entire selection process of the RRB Group D 2020 examination has four stages:
- Computer Based Test (CBT): It is the first level of RRB Group D selection involving an online mode of examination with qualifying marks of a minimum of 40% for the general candidates and 30% for SC, OBC candidates. The test has various sections like General Awareness, Mathematics, General Science, and General Intelligence & Reasoning. The total time duration is 90 minutes for attempting 100 questions.
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET): When a candidate qualifies by clearing the CBT exam, he/she should undergo a physical test which is qualifying in nature. The candidate has to pass the PET test for further evaluation and qualification.
- Document Verification: Once a candidate has successfully cleared both the CBT and PET, a document verification procedure will follow where all candidates need to showcase their relevant documents. It is mandatory to pass the document verification, use of any sort of forge document are strictly prohibited
- Medical Examination: Lastly there will be a basic medical evaluation of all selected candidates to check for any abnormalities in health.
Nationality Requirements:
A candidate appearing for the examination must be either:
- A citizen of India, or
- A subject of Nepal, or
- A subject of Bhutan, or
- Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before January 1, 1962, to permanently settle in India, or
- A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam intending to permanently settle in India.
Age Requirement:
All the candidates appearing for Group D RRB should be between 18 to 33 years. Relaxation in the upper age limit is considered only for candidates belonging to reserved categories.
